Our mission is to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all walks of life in such a way that it turns non-Christians into converts, converts into disciples, and disciples into leaders who will reach others for Christ.
Here is a list of our beliefs at Tree of Life Ministries:
WE BELIEVE the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is the infallible revelation of God to man, through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and it is the source of foundational truth. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
WE BELIEVE that God eternally exists as three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and each person is fully God, and there is one God. (1 Peter 1:1-2)
WE BELIEVE that Jesus is the Messiah (John 1:41), the Son of God (Luke 1:35), was born of a virgin and lived a sinless life. (1 John 3:5) He performed miracles; died to redeem us of our sins, was resurrected on the third day, and ascended to heaven.
WE BELIEVE that all have sinned (Romans 3:23) and are in need of salvation. Salvation is available only through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Salvation is available to everyone who will confess and repent of their sins to receive forgiveness and eternal life. This process is known as being “born again” in Christ. (Romans 10:9)
WE BELIEVE once you have been forgiven your sins (born again), you should be baptized in water. (Romans 6:4)
WE BELIEVE in justification, meaning that it is the instantaneous legal act of God in which He thinks of our sins as forgiven and Christ’s righteousness as belonging to us, and declares us to be righteous in His sight. (Romans 3:28)
WE BELIEVE in sanctification, meaning “to be set apart” or “to be made holy”. Sanctification is a continual process throughout the Christian life. Sanctification is when a believer strives to become more Christ like in their behavior, exhibiting the fruits of the Spirit and living a holy and moral life through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. When we miss the mark, we should immediately repent and ask the Lord to deliver us from the stronghold and bondage. (1 Corinthians 6:11)
WE BELIEVE that the empowerment (baptism) of the Holy Spirit is promised to all believers. The promise of a Spirit filled life includes, but is not limited to, the power to be a witness, an anointing to serve God, and the operation in all of the gifts of the Spirit. (Acts 2:38)
WE BELIEVE that divine healing and deliverance are provided through the blood of Jesus Christ, and that the prayer of faith will heal the sick. (James 5:13-15)
WE BELIEVE as Christians, we are called to be the salt and light to the world, and to reach the world with the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. (Mark 16:15)
WE BELIEVE in the pre-millennial second coming of Jesus Christ, 1) to resurrect the dead saints and 2) to gather together the living to meet Him in the air. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17)
WE BELIEVE in eternal life for the righteous (Romans 6:23) and eternal punishment for the wicked. (Matthew 25:46)
WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ will return (second coming) to establish His government in which He will rule and reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords for a thousand years. (Revelation 19-20) The righteous will live eternally on a new earth.
Stephanie, Kaitlyn and Paul Lancaster
Pastor Paul Lancaster is the Senior Pastor of Tree of Life Ministries in New Bern, North Carolina. After experiencing a successful career in construction, Pastor Paul answered the call to ministry and accepted every opportunity presented while studying at Moody Bible Institute. He was appointed as Pastor of Tree of Life Ministries in March of 2015.
Through the uncompromised teaching of the scriptures, Pastor Paul is provoking and equipping the body of Christ to have a lasting impact on this generation as well as the community surrounding them.
Pastor Paul’s wife, Stephanie, is an integral part of the ministry, as she is the Pastor’s right hand. She currently works full time as a registered nurse. When she is not working, she is devoted to the inner workings of the ministry, coordinating the different ministries to work together in harmony and to ensure God’s mandate on the church is completed. She is a full time mother, wife, and the heart of the ministry.
As the ministry grows, Pastor Paul and Stephanie have a desire to equip the church of tomorrow, to be the distinguished treasure God designed them to be. Together they seek to fulfill their divine destiny with the passion and purpose imparted to them and through the anointed call of God on their lives.
Pastor Paul and Stephanie have one daughter, Kaitlyn who is also involved in many aspects of the ministry.
